My blog was rated "High School". It's good to note that I use the words "facetious" also "pragmatic" also "travesty" also " fascinating" all before the break.

So High School could also mean pretentious snob writing style. Eye-wink

Do you use those words before the break in every post? That's

Do you use those words before the break in every post? That's impressive, especially when writing self-reflective posts.

That's the way I see it. I want to be as accessible to as many people as possible, and what we unwashed masses may lack in imaginative, 'correct' writing, we more than make up for in sheer numbers.

btw - I saw Mimi Gabor in toronto. she's crazy!

You are so lucky you got to catch a glimpse of Mimi Gabor. You have no idea how long I've been trying to meet her, but she's like a wraith in the night. I can't even seem to find her blog...

Mimi Gabor once told me:

"Young lady, it's not the size of your vocabulary but what you do with it that matters.."

That being said,

I love using my big words, and I don't care who know it.

Dude, I didn’t know you use godaddy - the CEO of GoDaddy.com is an extreme right-winger / religious zealot who defends the use of torture:

1, 2.

I mean, I know we can’t all be expected to know everything about all the companies we choose to work with… or can we? In the end it comes down voting with our (precious few) dollars to support what we believe in."

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I don't believe anyone should be subjected to torture, but anyone that claims to object to torture, yet spends so much as 1 cent on "Made in China" products, given China's human rights violations (including cold-blooded killings), is the utmost of hypocrites & might as well be conducting the torture themselves. So, if you boycott "Made in China" products, all the better, if not, you may want to re-think where you truly stand on the human torture issue.

Ed, I'm not exactly sure why you left this comment on this post

Ed,

I'm not exactly sure why you left this comment on this post on my blog instead of the comment section where you read it, but I'll answer you here anyways...

It's much easier to refrain from using a certain domain name registration provider when there are thousands of others around, than it is to avoid any and all products which may have been made in China... your comparison is not a fair or valid one.

Following the same logic, I could say that anyone who 'lives in the US, pays taxes and buys products made in the US, given the US's human rights violations (including cold-blooded killings) is the utmost of hypocrites and might as well be conducting the torture themselves...'

You see my point.

We try to to the best with the options that are given to us at the time. I need to buy shit to get my work done (all of which, ultimately, is to serve a purpose to someone who might never even get the chance to make these choices), and sometimes, that'll mean financing shady activities in various countries, whether they be China, the US, or elsewhere.
